Aston Martin, Britishvolt Team Up to Create Deluxe Electric Cars

The Index Today

Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings Plc has announced its collaboration with Britishvolt Ltd. in developing luxury electric cars for the future.

Aston Martin revealed on Monday that their joint cooperation expects to unveil the first fully electric vehicle model in 2025, reported Bloomberg News. The luxury car brand’s CEO Tobias Moers announced that both companies are set to join forces in developing and designing high-end, futuristic electric car models tailored to meet the demands of Aston Martin’s extensive clientele.

Moers said, “[Customers] don’t want to stay half an hour or an hour on a charging station.” He added, “It comes down to high-performance charging, repeatable performance when you take a car on a track and things like that.”

This alliance comes after Aston Martin’s synergy with Mercedes-Benz Group AG where the latter will supply them with luxury electric and hybrid motor systems in return for additional shares in the company.
