Dolce & Gabbana to Stop Using Fur in Products

The Index Today

Italian luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana announced on Monday that they will no longer use fur in the creation of their clothing and accessories lines.

Fedele Usai, the Communication and Marketing Officer for the company, said, "The entire fashion system has a significant social responsibility role that must be promoted and encouraged."

The brand will instead shift to using eco-fur products. In doing so, the company aims to market itself as a more appealing and eco-friendly brand to its younger customer base. This comes as an increasing number of fashion labels like Prada, Armani, Versace, and Valentino adopt a more pro-environment and ethical approach to fashion.
