The Index Today
According to the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The US has administered 374 million doses of Covid 19 vaccines and has distributed 450 million doses as of Saturday. The new figures reflect the increase of doses delivered throughout the nation.
CDC stated that 206,908, 710 people had taken the first dose whereas 175,968,266 people had taken two doses and were fully vaccinated as of 6:00 am.
The tally conducted by the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention includes two-dose vaccinations from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson (one shot vaccine).
Since August 13, approximately 1.33 million have received an additional Pfizer or Moderna dose of the vaccine. This occurred after the center allowed for a third shot of the vaccine to be administered to people with weaker immune systems.
