Shopify Teams Up With Microsoft & Oracle to Build New Tools on App

Popular e-commerce platform, Shopify Inc is working with leading cloud companies including Oracle Corp and Microsoft Corp to help merchants improve and streamline business operations.
Business owners using the Shopify application will be able to access various ERP tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Oracle NetSuite. Before, users had to connect to Shopify using third-party applications to be able to perform basic business functions such as a financial planning or inventory management.
The Canadian e-commerce application has set up an advanced infrastructure to help retailers build an online store with all necessary business functions. Revenue typically came through user subscriptions fees and related merchant services. The new partnership will help businesses strengthen their market share and work alongside cloud market rivals such as Amazon Inc.
