The Index Today
Elon Musk’s rocket firm SpaceX is set to launch its next long-haul astronaut team to the International Space Station (ISS) for NASA early on Wednesday.
According to Reuters, the launch vehicle comprises a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket covered with a Crew Dragon capsule known as Freedom. It was set to blast off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral in Florida at 3:52 am EDT (0752 GMT).
The associate NASA administrator for space operations, Kathryn Lueders said to reporters, "Flying safely with crew means that you've got to do it one step at a time." She added, "We're hoping that you'll get to see a really, really beautiful step, and we'll get our crew safely to orbit."
The newest group, referred to as the Crew 4, is the fourth ISS team NASA has sent to space in a SpaceX launch vehicle since the inception of the aerospace manufacturer led by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, reported Reuters.
