The Index Today
In a formal statement released by Traton, Matthias Greundler Chief Executive of Volkswagen truck unit Traton is to be replaced with Christian Levin, head of Traton Subsidiary Scania. In addition to this, the chief finance officer Christian Schulz will also be stepping down with Annette Danielski taking over.
Newly appointed members are expected to join their positions from Thursday as per the supervisory board which is led by Volkswagen Chairman Hans Dieter Poetsch. The new management reshuffle is considered a positive step to enhance business opportunities between Navistar and MAN truck brands.
Herbert Diess Chief Executive of WV said, “Electrifying our truck business, preparing it for an autonomous driving future and expanding our global footprint will require new joint approaches to generate scale. We are getting rid of the complex structure and will replace it with a lean management comprising the three truck brands.”
