After 13 long years, the trailer for the much-awaited Avatar: The Way of Water has finally been unveiled to the public.
According to Variety, the James Cameron sequel film is set to be released on December 16, 2022. This comes after the movie faced several snags and a 13-year delay following the debut of the first Avatar film. The 2009 movie has reportedly outperformed “Avengers: Endgame” as the most successful film with respect to ticket sales, generating a global revenue of more than $2.8 billion, after it was re-released in China last year.
The upcoming sequel will see many of the original cast members reprising their roles with Zoe Saldana returning as Neytiri, Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, and Sigourney Weaver in a new part. Kate Winslet, Oona Chaplin, and Michelle Yeoh will also be joining the star-studded cast, promising fans a visual treat.
