It is supposed to be the tennis star’s first public appearance following his deportation from Australia which prevented him from participating at the Australian Open earlier in January.

Dubai does not require visitors to have taken the COVID-19 vaccine which makes it possible for the 34-year old to participate in the games, having won the title five times in the past.

However, Djokovic would be obstructing his opportunities to play at major sporting events in the future if he persists in his decision to remain unvaccinated.
