Mcllroy’s victory at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics came to an end after five straight losses at the Ryder Cup. The US Team won the Ryder Cup on Sunday after a 19-9 win, breaking the record for the largest winning margin. Throughout the tournament's 94-year history, no other match has seen such a large score margin.

The four-time major winner, Rory Mcllroy lost three matches at Whistling Straits and was left out of Saturday’s morning foursomes. He said,

You look at the crowds. You look at what it means, it’s the best. I can’t wait to be a part of many, many more Ryder cups and be teammates with some of these great guys and try to win many more.

He continued,

It is by far the best experience in golf, and I hope the boys and girls watching this today will aspire to play in this event, or the Solheim Cup, because there’s nothing better than being a part of a team, especially with the bong we have in Europe.”
