Team Abu Dhabi’s Rashed Al Qemzi wins Third UIM F2 Title Victory

Rashed Al Qemzi from Team Abu Dhabi won his third UIM F2 World Championship title this Sunday. The Emirati driver managed to score a win BY an 8.686s margin against Duarte Benavente in the final round of Vila Velha de Rodao.

This win comes as his fourth Grand Prix victory and his second win for the season after July’s Championship in Poland. Guido Cappellini, Italy’s Powerboat racer has won 13 world titles since becoming the manager of Team Abu Dhabi.

Another member of the Endurance title-winning crew, Mansoor Al Mansoori had to drop out of the race after successfully completing 18 laps in his debut season. Rashed Al Qemzi’s latest Portugal win on Sunday will open doors to the next F2 crown.

Al Qemzi made his way to being the lead on the 1,577m river course through which he also gained a 13-second advantage. The driver managed to finish as runner up followed by Riabko who made it to the eighth position.
