Asian Markets Shift Amid Conversations on Climate, Inequality and Technological Disruption

Market Move

The Nikkei 225 Index has declined by 3.5% so far in the current quarter, outpacing its peers in other Asian markets.

In Mumbai, the S&P BSE Sensex Index rose 0.6% to 58,655.41 rupees ($783.12 USD), while the Nifty 50 Index increased by 0.5% to 17,343.80 rupees ($232.19 USD).

The Shanghai Composite Index in China fell 1.2% to 3,584.15 yuan ($515.89 CNY) as of Monday’s closing bell.
