Australian Cricket Legend Shane Warne Dies Aged 52

Shane Warne, one of the greatest cricketers of all time, has tragically passed away at the age of 52. The celebrated leg-spinner is said to have died of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand.

Warne’s management team released a statement confirming the same, “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived.” They added, “The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”

Warne’s untimely passing comes almost immediately after Rodney Marsh, fellow Australian cricket legend died aged 74 on Friday after suffering a major heart attack the previous week.

One of the greatest leg-spinners in history, Shane Warne had a decorated career spanning 15 years, having played 145 Test matches and 194 ODIs before retiring from Test cricket in 2007.
