Ed Sheeran and Taylor S wift’s duet “The Joker and the Queen” has topped the Australian Singles Chart as the highest new entry of the week.
A few days ago, Ed Sheeran announced the release of the romantic ballad featuring vocals from his good friend, Taylor Swift, leaving fans agog. The new song is a nod to the singers’ previous collaboration “Everything Has Changed” from Swift’s album Red. The actors portraying elementary school sweethearts in the first song have returned to reprise their roles in the music video for “The Joker and the Queen” which shows them in college.
“The Joker and the Queen” claimed the No. 11 spot on the ARIA Chart in Australia. It is the seventh song from Sheeran’s bestselling album, = equals, to make its way to the chart after “Bad Habits” and “Shivers” which are currently among its Top 10 songs.
